Andrew’s Christening | St Robert's Catholic Church | Newcastle
Christening is always a celebration. The celebration refers to the naming ceremony whereas baptism is one of seven sacraments in the Catholic Church. In the sacrament of Baptism the baby's name is used and mentioned, however, it is the rite of claiming the child for Christ and his Church that is celebrated.
As well as being welcomed into the Church, it’s also a great opportunity for friends and family to celebrate your child’s arrival.
We had the chance to shoot the baptism of Andrew at St. Robert’s church in Newcastle. Andrew is an amazing kid with two very kind and blessed parents, Jane and David, and what’s more than a happy family.
It was really beautiful to be a part of Andrew’s special day. He was brilliant the whole way through and we are 100% sure that he enjoyed his day more than everyone else! Wishing you all the best in your renewed spiritual journey. May you find everything you’re looking for in your life!
Among family and friends, the Christening ceremony had to follow the restrictions according to the pandemic but that was no problem at all for everyone to enjoy the day and having fun!
After the ceremony, there was a party at Newburn Activity Centre where the guests had the chance to enjoy the food and having a piece of the delicious cake!
We would like to thank Jane & David for having us capture their son’s baptism. May your child’s Baptism be just the start of a life filled with blessings. Best wishes.
Below are some of our favourite baptism photographs from the day…
